HM Queen Elizabeth II 1926 - 2022

It is with great sadness we hear of the passing of our Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Elizabeth II was Queen of the United Kingdom from 6 February 1952 until her death on 8 September 2022. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the second-longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign country. She was dignified, humble, strong and graceful. She was dedicated to her duty and service of a country that she adored.

So many of us have lived the majority of our lives under Queen Elizabeth II. She led by example and has always been there for us as a constant source of comfort during the best of times and also the worst, she symbolises what it is to be British.

An iconic figure in history and one which we will always remember.
